2016 · Keelung, Taiwan Two arrows pointing in opposite directions, like a quiet reminder that every road asks for a choice.

I’ve always liked driving up the north coast of Taiwan.

Watching the ocean.
Eating seafood at small roadside places.
Letting the wind rush through the car windows.

Nothing special.
Just small escapes from everyday life.

Somewhere along the way, I noticed these signs.

Two arrows.
Pointing in completely opposite directions.

In real life, they almost look absurd —
as if the road can’t decide where you should go.

But at the same time,
they make perfect sense.

Maybe life feels like that too.

There isn’t always a “correct” direction.
Only the one you choose for yourself.

Left or right.
Forward or back.

The signs don’t decide for you.

They simply remind you
that the choice is yours.
