One month before we officially left the country,
we took one last trip together.
Our dear friend/family F&F.
And their little miracle.
We went to Guanxi in Hsinchu —
a quiet place, slow and open,
the kind of place where time doesn’t rush you.
I remember watching the little one wander around,
touching everything, climbing everything,
as if the world had never taught her the word difficult.
Then I saw her climbing over this wall.
No hesitation.
No fear.
Just hands down, foot up, and over.
So simple.
At that moment, it felt like she was teaching us something.
Maybe moving to another country
isn’t really about courage or grand decisions.
Maybe it’s just this —
you see a wall,
and you climb over it.
Step by step.
Over the Wall was selected as one of the Top 100 artworks in ARTCOMP 2026. This is an important step for me, and a chance for the work to be seen by more people.
